Pineapple Upside Down Cake
UTENSILS: Electric Skillet
INGREDIENTS:
1 Can Pineapple Rings, w/ Juices
10-15 Maraschino Cherries
4 TBSP Brown Sugar
½ Stick Butter or Margarine
1 Box Moist Deluxe Yellow or Pineapple Cake Mix
1 Egg
INSTRUCTIONS:
Heat the skillet on 300. Meanwhile, mix the cake mix, 1 egg, and juice from the can of pineapple rings (mixture will be very thick). When the pan is heated, add the butter and allow to melt; add the brown sugar and allow to soak up the butter. Add pineapple rings into the butter; add 1-2 cherries in the center of each ring and in between the rings. Pour over the cake batter. Cover and continue to cook on 300. When the water seal forms, reduce the temperature to simmer and cook for 7 minutes. Unplug the unit and allow to stand covered for 10-15 minutes before serving.
